Montreal-based artist, Fayality/Yasmine Faddal, centers her practices around sculpture, mosaic, photography and design. Since her early childhood, art in various forms has always been the most effective way to occupy her free time, which is why in 2018, she enrolled at Cégep du Vieux Montréal to study photography. As the years go by and during her training, she increasingly starts incorporating mirrors into her images. She creates makeup looks, clothing, and accessories using broken mirrors, which even allows her to participate in several fashion shows in Montreal.
In May 2023, she had the opportunity to participate in a design exhibition called "Might Delete," organized by the American Design Club in association with Design Week in New York.
In October 2023, she will have the chance to exhibit several of her mirror clothing and accessories during a Halloween party at the Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal.
Her work today allows her to experiment, discover, meet, feel, and dream. Through the use of different textures, reflections, and forms, Fayality invites you into her world where everyone can feel welcome. It is through the unique use of mirrors that this artist's work stands out. Currently, she devotes the majority of her time to sculpture and mosaic.
